International data transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including countries that may have different data protection laws. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

Information handled by the Extension

This section applies to the Phone Simulator Chrome extension (the "Extension") and supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy.

What the Extension stores locally

The Extension stores your settings and preferences and your sign-in token in your browser's local storage on your device. This data stays on your device unless a section below says otherwise. You can remove it at any time by signing out, uninstalling the Extension, or clearing its data in your browser.

Authentication token

When you sign in on our website, the website passes a sign-in token to the Extension so that it can recognize your account and subscription. The Extension stores this token locally and uses it only to communicate with our servers. It is deleted when you sign out or uninstall the Extension.

Screen video and MP4 conversion

The Extension records your screen locally. A recording is sent to our server only when you click the MP4 button, and only to convert it to MP4. We use it for no other purpose. The recording and the converted file are deleted immediately after processing, and we do not view, analyze, or keep copies of them. If you do not use MP4 export, your recordings never leave your device.

Paywall display events

We record which payment screen was shown to you (for example, which plan or offer). These events are not linked to your user ID and are used only to evaluate and improve our pricing screens.

Server logs and technical data

When the Extension or website contacts our servers, we log limited technical information: your browser language, time zone, and the time of the request. We use it for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. We do not store your IP address in these logs. Logs are deleted after 1 month.

Retention periods

• Screen recordings sent for MP4 conversion: deleted immediately after processing
• Server logs (browser language, time zone, request time): 1 month
• Account data: kept while your account is active, then deleted or de-identified after you close it

Limited Use

We use data obtained through the Extension only to provide and improve the Extension's single purpose, as described in this policy. We do not sell this data or transfer it to third parties, except to service providers needed to operate the Extension, as required by law, or as part of a merger or acquisition. We do not use it for advertising, including personalized or retargeted ads, and we do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes. No human reads this data, except with your explicit consent, for security purposes, or where required by law.

Your rights

European Economic Area (GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA, you have the right to access, port, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, as provided under the GDPR. We process personal data on the legal bases of contract performance, legitimate interest, and consent, as applicable.
